4.1 Features Utilizing AI
The following features use AI processing and require your explicit consent before activation. Below is a detailed breakdown of exactly what data is shared with Google Gemini for each feature:
- AI Nutritional Estimation: Estimates nutritional values from your meal descriptions.
Data sent to Google Gemini: Only the text description of the meal you entered in your diary. - Smart Ingredient Scanning: Analyzes food product images to identify potentially harmful ingredients for your specific health profile.
Data sent to Google Gemini:- Image of the ingredient label you photographed
- Your skin profile (selected dermatological conditions from your Skin Profile page)
- Your dietary profile (food intolerances, dietary restrictions, and diet preferences such as vegan, vegetarian, palm oil-free, selected from your Dietary Profile page)
- Weekly Diet Generation: Creates personalized weekly meal plans tailored to your health needs and dietary preferences.
Data sent to Google Gemini:- Your skin profile (selected dermatological conditions from your Skin Profile page)
- Your dietary profile (food intolerances, dietary restrictions, and diet preferences such as vegan, vegetarian, palm oil-free, selected from your Dietary Profile page)
- Advanced AI Reports: Analyzes your weekly activity to identify correlations and trends between your diet and skin health.
Data sent to Google Gemini (only for the 7-day period you select):- Your skin profile (selected dermatological conditions)
- Your dietary profile (food intolerances, dietary restrictions, and diet preferences)
- Product scans you consumed during the selected week (including quantities and nutritional values, if entered)
- Meals you logged in your diary during the selected week (including quantities and nutritional values, if entered)
- Your daily self-assessments of skin condition, mood, and stress levels for the selected 7 days
4.2 User Consent and Control
Explicit Consent Required: Before using any AI-powered feature for the first time, you will see a consent dialog that clearly explains:
- Which specific data will be shared with Google Gemini
- The purpose of the data processing
- That Google Gemini is our third-party AI provider
- That you can revoke consent at any time
Each AI feature requires separate, individual consent. You are free to choose which features to enable and which to decline. Without your explicit opt-in consent, no data will be sent to our AI provider.
Consent Persistence: Once you provide consent for an AI feature, it remains active and you won't be asked again each time you use that feature. However, you maintain full control and can revoke consent at any time.
Revoking Consent: You can review and revoke your consent for any or all AI-powered features at any time by navigating to: Profile → Account Management → AI Data Sharing in the App. Once consent is revoked for a feature, that feature will immediately stop processing your data through our AI provider, and you will need to provide consent again if you wish to re-enable it.
4.3 Data Sharing with AI Provider
When you consent to use AI features, only the data necessary for the specific feature is securely transmitted to Google Gemini for processing. This data is used solely for generating the requested insights and recommendations within the App.
How We Connect to Google Gemini:
- We use Google Gemini's paid API service (not free or public models) with enterprise-level billing and service agreements
- All data transmissions are encrypted using industry-standard SSL/TLS protocols
- No data is sent to Google Gemini without your explicit prior consent
Important Safeguards:
- Anonymized Data: The data sent to Google Gemini does not include any personally identifiable information. We do not transmit your name, email address, user ID, or any other identifiers that could link the data back to you as an individual. Only the specific health and dietary information necessary for processing your request is sent, ensuring your anonymity.
- No AI Training: Your data is not used to train Google's AI models or any external machine learning systems. Your personal health information is never used to improve AI models.
- Per-Request Processing: Data is processed only when you make a specific request (e.g., when you scan an ingredient label or generate a report). Data is not permanently stored by the AI provider beyond what is technically necessary for processing your request.
- Limited Scope: Only the minimum data required for each specific feature is transmitted. For example, when you use AI Nutritional Estimation, only your meal description is sent—not your entire health profile.
- Medical Disclaimer: All AI-generated insights are for informational purposes only and should not replace professional medical, nutritional, or dermatological advice. Always consult qualified healthcare professionals for medical decisions.
- Full Control: You can review and manage your AI feature consents at any time via Profile → Account Management → AI Data Sharing.
